Invite the choir
Liturgies, concerts and community occasions
We sing across the Emirates — in parishes, at festivals, at cultural showcases and at community events. Here is what to know before you invite us.
What we sing
We sing sacred music for Mass and the seasons of the church year, classical choral works for concerts and competitions, Filipino folk songs and choral settings, and contemporary pieces for community occasions.
Every programme is chosen to suit the occasion. Tell us what yours is, and we will build one around it.
How we come to you
You choose how many voices. A single cantor, a quartet, or the full choir — whichever suits your event and your venue. The length is yours to set too: one song, a sixty-minute programme, or a full two hours.
We sing at any occasion that calls for a choir — a Mass, a wedding, a funeral, a concert, a community or cultural gathering. Practical matters such as a keyboard, sound and where the choir will stand, we work out with you after you get in touch.
Where we have sung
We have sung at St. Mary’s Parish Church and St. Francis of Assisi, Jebel Ali; at the Philippine Consulate; at ChoirFest Middle East, the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature, Fête de la Musique at Souk Madinat Jumeirah and The Fridge Concert Series; and across Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah for our twentieth-anniversary series.
In 2013 the Dubai Vocal Ensemble won the first Choir of the Year competition, judged by the Grammy-winning a cappella group The Swingle Singers. In 2024 the ensemble took top awards at ChoirFest Middle East.
Invitations and honoraria
We sing as the Filipino choral ministry of St. Mary’s Parish Church, not as a commercial ensemble. We do not charge a performance fee, and an honorarium is never a condition of accepting an invitation. We would rather sing.
Tell us about your occasion
Send us the date, the venue and the occasion, and tell us how long you would like us to sing and how many voices you have in mind. Six weeks’ notice lets us prepare properly — but if your date is sooner, ask anyway. We will always try.
